Arbitration

Arbitration is a method of alternative dispute resolution in which the participants agree to have their claims and defenses decided by a neutral arbitrator. In arbitration, the parties present their evidence and call witnesses during a live hearing in front of the arbitrator. The arbitrator considers the evidence, applies applicable law, and issues a written decision that is binding. The parties generally have no right to appeal an arbitrator’s decision. Many litigants find arbitration to be more efficient and cost-effective when compared to traditional litigation.

Dennis Clifford is on the American Arbitration Association’s National Roster of Arbitrators for employment and consumer claims. He has presided over nearly 50 arbitration matters. Given his significant wage-and-hour experience, he also conducts settlement fairness hearings as an arbitrator. To hire him as an arbitrator, the parties may directly contact Clifford Dispute Resolution. If the parties wish for the AAA to administer the proceeding, they should contact the AAA and request that Mr. Clifford preside over their matter.
